The main activity of the club are the Wednesday Night Paddles. There are also many skill sessions at the Estuary of the Campbell River. There are a few day trips, usually on weekends. Trip reports for the 2009 activities can be seen here.
Campbell River is an interesting place to kayak.   There are a number of lakes nearby; ranging in size from small to large.  The Estuary is sheltered from the wind and waves that frequent Discovery Passage.  A ferry ride to Quadra Island takes one to sheltered paddling at Quathiaski Cove, Gowlland Harbour, & Heriot Bay.  There is good paddling on the east side of Quadra Island that is subject to wind, waves & currents.  Discovery Passage is great kayaking for the intermediate paddler who is knowledgeable about ocean conditions.  Advanced paddlers can play in the tidal race at Surge Narrows.   And lastly, Campbell River is a hub for expeditions to Nootka Sound, Johnstone Strait, and the North Island.
