Paddle & Beach Fire       Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Twelve paddlers took to the water for the first combination social paddle / beach fire of 2009.
We paddled south for half an hour to a glacial erratic, then back to the Ken Forde boat ramp.
Congratulations to Ted C. who achieved his first eskimo roll.

Here is Tom's report:
Nice to see our new members out. Some came out just for the hotdogs and got an excellent fire going. Lots of new boats showing up. Ken B broke in his new Romany Surf. He looks real good in it. Rolled it over and came back up. Al was still fine tuning his 2 week old Romany. Lots of British boats showing up. Toms Cetus and Barbs Quest. All good lookin boats. Some rocking and rolling going on. One count at the fire totaled 17 members. Real nice to see George show up and say hello. A good time was had by all. Ken V our new fearless leader tended the fire well, but appeared to have forgotten his boat.
